You can’t hardly resist the urge to buy and spend cash every time you go to a mall? and you will shop till you drop? and then pay amount of bills?. Yup. shopping does really tempting, and it does feel you make feel better, if you know what i meant he he

Many peoples love to shop, especially among women. But what happen if this kind of habit become so excessive and gone to far?. The worst is you may experience a financial disasters and that’s really a big..big problem right?. The problems might not only causes financial disasters for us but it also will affect you work. your relationship, even your own future.
Omniomania refers to shopping adiction or we often heard it as shopaholic. Psychiatrist indicates that oniomania or shopaholic behavior can be triggered by :
- certain needs to fulfilled feel special
- as away to get rid of loniless
- to fulfilled emotional needs that is feel better and satisfied.
- It gives such an euphoria or high excitement
- as a fun media for running away from sadness, sorrow or run for something
- shopping seen as a substitutes to gain self-comforting
- social-acceptable needs
Shopaholic often derives by negative emotional, even it gives certain sensation but mostly shopaholic tends to regret or felt guilty after it. What interesting is that some experts says that shopping addict can be derived by bad experience when they were kids. This bad experience can be formed as a loneliness or being neglected by parents, so when they were grew up, they used it to compensate those feelings to make them feel comfort and improved their self-esteem. This kind habit become worsen by aggressive marketing, advertising and social culture.
The consequences for being shopaholic, especially when get extreme can’t be underestimated. It consequences might be include :
- emotional problems such frustration, stress, anxiety and sense of loss control. And its not healthy.
- Financial problems such high amount of debt or even bancruptcy
- relationship problems such break or ruined relationship, or even a a marriage divorce.
