Cancer was human disease that obviously really scaring and quite dangerous. Silent but killed, yup…that’s was nature of cancer. As in many cancers, we may have no significant signs or symptoms at all. someone might not be realize, until this disease crawling in to dangerous stages. like any other cancer, sometime cervical cancer does not usually cause pain at all, although it may in high advanced stages.

Cervical cancer or cervix cancer is one of  women’s violent diseases. This cancer attack lower or narrower women’s womb and came as abnormal cell in cervix area. The most common signs of this cancer is abnormal vaginal bleeding. But it can be more dangerous, when there’s no obvious signs or symptoms until this cancer is in its advanced stages.

The symptoms usually include :
- Abnormal heavy vaginal bleeding
- Pain during sexual activity.
- Vaginal disorder.

Those symptoms may followed with: pelvic pain, back pain, significant weight loss, weakness and fatigue, loss of appetite, swollen leg usually single one, and urine or faeces from the vagina. while stages of cervical cancer, can come in several stages :

Stage 1 The cancer cells attacks the cervix.
Stage 2 The cancer has spread into upper part of the vagina and then in to the cervix.
Stage 3 The cancer has spread to the lower part of the vagina, or pelvic area.
Stage 4 The cancer has spread to the bladder or beyond the pelvic area.
According to the data, This violent disease usually attacks women between 35-55 years old. Ironicly, this disease has increases in Asia. For the example, cervix canver has reached 15,000 new cases per year in Indonesia. And It is estimated about 8,000 women died each year. Today, it was a number one in Indonesia.

Differently in United States, cervix cancer used to be the leading cause of cancer women’s death in the United States. For example, In 2007
12,280 women in the US were diagnosed with cervical cancer, and 4,021 women died. But, the number have decreased significantly in the last decades. It was because, there’s a growing consciousness among women in US for getting regular Pap smear tests. This test will give early information to detect dangerous cell in cervix area and prevent it to lead in to dangerous stages. But the most important is that as women we have to seriously awared of it, particularly those who have many multiple sexual partners (or who have sex with men who had many other partners). Women lifestyle, especially sexual activity can lead to a greater risk for this cancer. It was so, because the main cause of this cancer is Human Papilloma Virus which mostly sexual transmitted.
